Fantastically Delicious!

Hello Everyone,

This week went quite well! We have been teaching a fair amount of lessons and Holly is getting really close to baptism. We're almost as excited for it as she is! In other uplifting news, one of the Recent Converts who we haven't been able to see or get a hold of for three weeks came to church yesterday! It was such a joy to see him there, and it was even better when we taught him afterwards. We weren't exactly sure what we were going to teach him, but at one point as he was talking I received the impression that we should read the Parable of the Sower with him. I turned to my companion and whispered "Parable of the Sower" and he responded with, "That's exactly what I was thinking!" So you could say that we're growing in unity as a companionship.
On Friday we had our Zone Meeting in New Bern. We talked and learned about faith. I loved it! We learn from Ether that our faith will lead us to have hope and do good. "Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God." I would invite each of you to exercise your faith in Christ by doing good to your fellow men. I know that Christ lives and loves us. Through Him we truly can receive everlasting peace and joy.
I love you! Have a fantastic week!

With Love,
Elder Rogers

P.S. I tried Sushi for the first time ever! Also, the subject of this email is in reference to the large cheese biscuit, and bacon-wrapped hot dogs that we had this week at members' homes!

He Lives!

Hello Everyone,

Happy Easter! I know I'm a day late, but I hope that everyone enjoyed this wonderful day of rejoicing! This week went really well for us here in Washington, North Carolina! The weather has been nice and several of our investigators have been progressing quite well.
I went to New Bern this week for a day! One of the Elders there is also from Pocatello, so we shared several stories and had a great time working together! I was proud of Elder Fuller as he led our area for a day. He did really well!
We have a new sister missionary in our District and District meeting went exceptionally well this week! The Spirit taught all of us many truths and we were all edified.
Our investigators have been doing well! We taught them several times this week and they came to conference! We were very excited and they liked it a lot!
I thoroughly enjoyed General Conference! It is always nice to hear the inspiring messages of God's servants. The many testimonies born of Jesus Christ, our Savior, strengthened my testimony of Him. I know He lives. He has overcome death and sin, and because He has, we can live with Him again. I invite everyone to listen to and relisten to the many talks given at conference. I know they can and will brighten our lives. I also invite each of you to watch the video on HeLives.mormon.org. It's a beautiful video about Easter and I really like it. Well I love you all and hope everyone has a magnificent week!

With Love,
Elder Rogers
